Easter Egg Decorating Ideas!

As the snow starts to melt and we begin to see glimpses of grass and tiny buds popping through the snow it only means one thing, Spring has officially sprung!

With Easter being right around the corner I wanted to share some of my favorite ways that I will be decorating eggs with my nieces this year that are different then the traditional way of placing eggs into colored vinegar.  All of these ideas include only a few ingredients and are simple, fun to create, and will produce unique looking eggs every time!

1. Shaving Cream Easter Eggs-http://www.craftymorning.com/shaving-cream-dyed-easter-eggs/#aa

You will need:

  • Hard boiled Eggs
  • Food coloring (neon works best)
  • Shaving Cream
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Straw
  • Gloves (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Fill the cookie sheet with shaving cream, then add drops of food coloring, lastly use the straw in order to swirl the colors around, blending them together.
  2. Roll your hard boiled eggs into the colored shaving cream
  3.  Leave the eggs covered in the shaving for 10 minutes
  4.  Finally, rise then the egg clean revealing the marbled effect onto the eggs.

 

2. Tissue Paper Easter Eggs-http://www.thejennyevolution.com/creative-decorate-easter-eggs/

You will need:

  • Hard Boiled Eggs
  • Modge Podge
  • tissue paper cut into various shapes
  • A sponge brush or paint brush

Instructions:

  1. Use your paint brush or sponge brush and completely coat your egg in modge podge.
  2. Then start placing various colored pieces of tissue paper onto the egg.
  3. Lastly, place another coat of modge podge over the tissue paper on the egg and allow for the egg to dry.

 

3.  Tie Dyed Easter Eggs-http://alittlepinchofperfect.com/easter-eggs-without-cup-of-dye-toddler/

You will need:

  • Baby wipes
  • Markers
  • Rubber bands
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Cut baby wipes in half with scissors
  2. Color on the wipes, the more color the better
  3. Wrap the baby wipe around the egg and gently secure it with a rubber band
  4. Allow for the egg to set over night, and let the baby wipes dry completely
  5. Once the wipes are dry remove the wipes and enjoy!

These are just a few of my favorite ways to decorate Easter eggs however there are many different ways that you can decorate Easter eggs!
